BREATH - THE ESSENCE OF YOGA

Breathe naturally, nothing should interfere with the simple, tide-like movement of our lungs as we breathe in and out.

- VANDA SCARAVELLI

Join Zoë Martin for a morning of yoga at Judgemeadow Community College. Zoë is teaching this workshop for the Leicestershire Yoga Circle.

The breath lies at the heart of yoga practise. It is a quiet yet powerful guide that deepens sensitivity and awareness.

In this workshop we will explore how the breath can support and enliven the body through accessible, mindful movement. As we begin to listen more deeply to the natural rhythm of breathing, the body gradually softens, tensions begin to release, and movement becomes fluid and easeful.

Through simple, breath-centred practices we will explore the potential of the breath to awaken and free the spine, inviting greater space, sensitivity and responsiveness throughout the body.

As unnecessary effort falls away, we may begin to glimpse the essence of yoga — a sense of clarity, peace and inner stillness.

This workshop offers a gentle and nourishing space to slow down, reconnect with the breath, and rediscover the quiet intelligence that lives within the body.
