YOGA FOR THERAPY
Yoga according to the possibilities, interests and well-being of each person
FOR HEALTH & HEALING
Yoga Therapy, refers to the adaptation and application of yoga techniques and practices to help individuals facing health challenges.
It can be used:
- As a support to alleviate or prevent many physical, chronic, psychological or emotional conditions.
- To compliment both conventional and alternative medicine.
Yoga therapy is taught by yoga teachers with additional training and experience in the therapeutic adaptation and application of yoga.
The Yoga Therapist may include one or more of a range of techniques to help individuals facing health challenges, such as posture work, breathing techniques, relaxation, working with sound, reflection, and/or meditation. A number of sessions are likely to be needed to confirm safe and appropriate practice.

I find Zoë & Gary’s teachings really rewarding and beneficial for keeping physically and mentally healthy every day. I used to suffer a painful lower back and repetitive strain on shoulders and since doing a weekly class I’ve never had to go to the doctors or take pain relief…Would recommend to everybody. The world would be a much happier place if we all practiced Yoga.Ellie
I very much appreciate Gary’s detailed, well-timed and gentle instructions. The yoga leaves me feeling refreshed, energised and relaxed. I would highly recommend his classes.Caroline
Zoë’s calm disposition enhances her teaching. My practice has developed not simply with her guidance on the ‘poses’ but deepened with an emphasis on breath work and meditation. Classes are peppered with carefully chosen quotes, readings and insights into the theory of yoga and āyurveda, meaning by the end of the class, both body and mind have benefited from a ‘work-in’ as well as a ‘work-out’!Jennifer
A quick thought I had the other day: since coming to your classes I have been reminded that a slow, determined and mindful practice is both challenging and rewarding for mind and body. I am always amazed at how hard simply standing or sitting can be when all your awareness is focused on the posture!Suzanne
