The Yoga Sūtra of Patañjali, is the main textbook for those interested in the philosophy and practice of Yoga.

The text is presented in concise aphorisms, that without guidance can seem dry, precise and difficult to understand.  However, when unravelled and explored, can be magical and life changing. These aphorisms, universal in content, are an amazing study of the mind and its workings. Patañjali offers a coherent guide to transform the mind for the purpose of living in harmony with oneself and the world around us.

We offer monthly sessions designed to add value and meaning to the practice of yoga. We hope to help you kindle an understanding of the true purpose of yoga and its deep spiritual benefits.

These sessions are informal and are suitable for people who are complete beginners to the sūtra and for those who have knowledge of themThey include discussion, exploration through practice and learning to chant the sūtra.  You can attend on a monthly basis or come along when you can. We shall place the sūtra we are studying in context. Each sūtra can be a focus for reflection by itself.
