At Tofte Manor, Bedfordshire: 28th – 30th March 2014 With Zoë Martin and Janet Evans
This is a perfect venue for a yoga retreat. It is a place of exceptional harmony, beauty and peace. The magic of Tofte is held in its grounds, its history and the lovingly restored interiors of this wonderful 16th Century English country manor house and gardens.
Tofte Manor has been exquisitely restored. The bedrooms are based on two sharing and designed with excellent attention to detail to ensure your comfort. Meals will be deliciously healthy and vegetarian. Vegan, wheat and dairy-free diets can be catered for by arrangement.
During our time together we will look at ways of deepening and supporting everyone’s understanding of the possibilities yoga practice can have at promoting a healthy body and calm mind through the practice of āsana (yoga postures), prāṇāyāma (breathing techniques), Vedic chant and Dhyāna (meditation).
Classes will include thoughtful sequencing of postures, dynamic as well as static posture work and careful attention to the the breath. Some classes may be more strenuous, some more meditative, in some we will introduce sound work and references to yoga philosophy. By the end of the weekend we hope that you will experience increased body awareness, mental clarity and emotional balance. In between yoga practice there will be plenty of time to enjoy the luxury of the house or explore the stunning grounds.
Cost £360 This includes all yoga sessions, accommodation and meals. Travel costs are not included.
